Free web hosting for static websites

Turning HTML into a website needs somewhere to serve the files. Tiiny Host provides that at no cost for one site. You upload a website for free as a single zip, with index.html next to its stylesheets and images, and it opens at a tiiny.site address. There's no server for you to run or patch.

Free web hosting for static websites

Upload a website for free from this page

Three steps, starting with the folder on your computer

1. Zip your site folder

1. Zip your site folder

Keep index.html at the top level of the site folder, then compress the whole folder into a zip.

2. Drop the zip and name your link

2. Drop the zip and name your link

Drag the zip onto the upload box at the top of this page. A link name like my-portfolio turns into my-portfolio.tiiny.site.

3. Hit publish

3. Hit publish

New accounts enter a short code from their inbox before the first site goes live. Later publishes skip that step.

Video

HTML to website for free, start to finish

Tiiny Tips made this video for people who have finished coding a site and want it online. Around the 30-second mark the files go onto the page and get a custom URL. Password protection and visitor analytics come up after that.

Features

Included with free HTML hosting

📄 One-file sites

You can host an HTML file for free without zipping it first. It opens as the home page at your link.

📂 Folders and subpages

Subfolders and extra pages keep their paths inside the zip, so relative links between pages work once the site is live.

🧩 Framework builds

The output folder from a Hugo or React build uploads like any hand-written site.

⚡ Speed

Most sites are online within seconds of the upload finishing.

📋 Pasted code

Code that only exists in your clipboard can go into the dashboard's Paste HTML editor and be published from there.

👨‍🔧️ Reliable

Sites are served from AWS infrastructure built for 99.99% uptime.

Tiiny Host next to cloud and Git hosting

AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Netlify and GitHub all have free tiers for static sites. What it takes to get a page live varies between them, from setting up a storage bucket to connecting a Git repository.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a catch to the free plan?

Mainly its limits. A free account hosts one site of up to 3 MB, and that site shows a small Tiiny Host banner until you upgrade. The free web hosting plan itself has no end date.

How to publish a website for free?

Any host with a free plan lets you publish a website for free; what changes between them is how the files get there. On Tiiny Host, the zipped site folder goes into the uploader on this page along with the link name you want. Once your email is confirmed, the website is open to anyone who has the address.

How long does a site stay online?

Until you delete it, as long as your account stays active. Logging in within any three-month stretch keeps a free account active.

Can I use Tiiny Host for temporary website hosting for free?

A launch countdown or a client review can stay up for a few weeks and then be deleted from the dashboard. On the free plan, deleting is final. Paid accounts also have an archive option that unpublishes a project and leaves its files in place.

Does it work with WordPress or PHP sites?

PHP runs from the Tiny plan up. WordPress and other database-driven sites won't work on any plan, because Tiiny Host serves static files, the kind a browser can open straight from your upload.

Can I edit the site once it's online?

Any time. From the dashboard you can upload a new version over the current one, at the same link. Solo plans also include a code editor for quick fixes in the browser.

Do you offer free domain hosting?

Yes, every site gets a free yourname.tiiny.site subdomain under a name you pick. Connecting a domain of your own takes Solo or a higher plan. Solo covers up to five, either ones you already own or new ones bought through Tiiny Host.

How much do the paid plans cost?

Billed yearly, Tiny is $5 a month ($60 a year), Solo $13, Pro $31 and Pro Max $74. Month-to-month billing costs $9, $18, $38 and $89. All prices are in US dollars, with a 7-day money-back guarantee on every plan.
